As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our primary campus teachers and therapists to provide individualised support to students with various learning and developmental needs. Utilising your excellent communication skills and your passion for education, you will help students build confidence, develop essential skills, and reach their full potential.

📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to primary students with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve academic and personal goals.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
• Use assistive technology tools such as speech-generating devices, augmentative communication software, and educational apps to support students' learning.
• Monitor and record students' progress, providing regular updates to teachers and therapists.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering students' social and emotional well-being.
• Attend team meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices and new strategies for supporting students.
• Adhere to The Alice Smith School's policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and events organised by the school, as required.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children or young people in an educational or therapeutic setting.
• Strong knowledge of inclusive education principles and practices.
• Experience using assistive technology tools, such as speech-generating devices, augmentative communication software, or educational apps.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Valid first aid certification, or willingness to obtain one.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
